AltiGen has tested and recommends using StarTech’s 2-port USB 2.0 PCI card (PCI225USB) with Alti-Office1 and Alti-Office2 series chassis.

The USB ports can be used for performing backups to external hard drives, network drives, zip drives. The card adds 2 USB ports to the server, with data transfer rates up to 480 Mbits per second. It allows devices to be connected or disconnected without turning off the chassis.

The installation of this card uses one PCI slot. This is the only add-in third-party board that is supported in an AltiGen system.
