This Field Alert is to serve as a reminder that the MAX1000 / MAX2000 telephony boards are not hot-swappable.

The proper handling and installation procedures for the MAX1000 / MAX2000access cards are very similar to the current cards used in the other Office systems.

The MAX1000/2000 phone systems must be completely powered off before installing or removing access boards. After shutting down Windows, turn off the machine by the power switch on the back of the chassis.

Failure to do so will severely damage the phone server and will void your warranty.
